The newly re-formed Boyle Celtic Reserves made a fantastic start to the season with a 4-1 home win against Glenview Stars of Sligo. Not so good a start from the first team who went down 6-1 to leading contenders Carbury. The scoreline doesn't reflect the game however. Boyle made it 2-1 just after the break but a scandalous decision from the referee awarded Carbury a penalty minutes later to kill the contest. It remained 3-1 until the last 10 minutes when Boyle's resolve began to weaken. Next week, home to Cliffoney.
