Registration Night

A further Boyle Celtic Youth Registration Night will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 1^st August, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm in the Clubhouse. All players born from 1994 through to 2003 will be registered according to the year of their birth and from there we can work out at what ages we will enter teams for the new league season – at this stage it is likely to be similar to last season, U11 / U12 / U13 / U14 / U16 & U19. Registration is €50 per player, €75 for a family of 2 or more. New players are very welcome and are asked to bring a photocopy of their birth certificate for submission to the league.

Ian Beirne Memorial 7-a-side Tournament

The Ian Beirne Memorial 7-a-side tournament ran very successfully last week and congratulations go to The Alley Bar who defeated Scanlons 2-1 in a tense final on Saturday evening. 

Ten teams had initially entered and four qualified for the semi-finals where The Alley Bar defeated Carrick Town and Scanlons saw off the challenge of Trojan. Further entertainment was provided by the legends of Boyle and Ballyfarnon with Ballyfarnon sneaking a win. 

Sincere thanks to Owen O’Donohoe, Sandra McCrann, Dennis Dodd, DJ Richie Burke, everyone who entered and all those who came along to support the players.

COMPETITION - SUMMER SOCCER SCHOOL

Win two places at the Boyle Celtic FAI / E-Flow 2012 Summer Soccer School. 

The school, open to all boys and girls aged 6 to 14, will take place during the week 6^th – 10^th August and places can be booked on-line at www.fai.ie or phone 1890 653 653. 

To enter, just tell us who scored Ireland’s only goal in the recent European Championships in Poland/Ukraine? 

Please send entries to Boyle Celtic or drop them into the Clubhouse during the Ian Beirne Memorial tournament. Entries will be taken up to the kick-off of the Ian Beirne Memorial Final on Saturday 28^th July and the draw will take place during the half-time interval.

Ian Beirne Memorial 7-a-side tournament

The Ian Beirne Memorial 7-a-side tournament commences on Boyle Celtic’s all-weather pitch tonight with the first match kicking off at 7.45pm.

With three groups, there are matches every evening from 7.45pm tonight, tomorrow and Friday with semi-finals and the final on Saturday 28th July. 

You are all very welcome to come along and cheer on the teams. See you there!

The Ian Beirne Memorial 7-a-side tournament commences on Boyle Celtic’s all-weather pitch on Thursday 26^th July and will run through to the final on Saturday 28^th July. 

Entry is €50 per team with a maximum of 3 SuperLeague players per team - please contact Owen O’Donohoe on 086 2209211 for further details and to enter. 

Supporters, please make a note for your diaries – you’re all very welcome to come down and cheer on the teams.

Tidy-up thanks

Many thanks to our intrepid volunteers who braved the showers, torrential at times, to begin the tidying up of our grounds on Wednesday evening. It was great to hear the hum of the strimmers as they began eating into the hay but the wet conditions meant the job wasn't finished - lots done, more to do. Keep posted for details of our next tidy-up and, if you can, please pop down, with strimmer in hand, to help out.

Boyle Celtic tidy-up - Wed 18th 7pm

In advance of the Ian Beirne Memorial tournament, the FAI Summer Soccer school and the new season, Boyle Celtic will be tidying up our grounds on Wednesday 18th July from 7pm. Volunteers, especially with strimmers, are kindly asked to attend - many hands make light work!! Look forward to seeing you there...

Boyle Celtic will hold a further Youth Registration Night on Wednesday 11^th July from 7.30pm to 8.30pm in the Clubhouse. 

All players born from 1994 through to 2003 will be registered according to the year of their birth and from there we can work out at what age-groups we will enter teams for the new league season – at this stage it is likely to be similar to last season, U11 / U12 / U13 / U14 / U16 & U19.

FAI / E-Flow Summer Soccer School

FAI / E-Flow Summer Soccer School 2012 will take place in Boyle Celtic during the week 6^th – 10^th August - book on-line at www.fai.ie or phone 1890 653 653. 

The Soccer School is open to all boys and girls aged 6 to 14 – perhaps we have the new Messi in our midst? Can we produce the players to rival the mighty Spain in future tournaments? Or do you just love the beautiful game and want to play a little bit better....

Youth Registration Night

A Registration Night for all our youth players will take place on Wednesday 4th July from 7.30pm to 8.30pm in the Clubhouse. 

All players born from 1994 through to 2003 will be registered according to the year of their birth and from there we can finalise the age-levels for which we will enter teams for the new league season. At this stage it is likely to be the same as last season, U11 / U12 / U13 / U14 / U16 & U19, with U19 to be confirmed by the league subject to sufficient entries from the clubs - should there be insufficient numbers, unfortunately, there will be no U19 league but we will then enter a team in the U18 league.

Registration is €50 per player, €75 for a family of 2 or more. New players are very welcome and are asked to bring a photocopy of their birth certificate for submission to the league.
