Saturday Night Football !!!

This Saturday night 21st August will see the very first competitive game under lights. Boyle Celtic host Cliffoney of Sligo in their second Super League match. Kick off will be 7.30pm.
As usual entry to the game is FREE so I would encourage everyone in Boyle to pop down to the soccer pitch and support the lads. Hot food and refreshments will be available pitchside.
EVERYONE is welcome.

New - Boyle Celtic Boot Room

Reduce, Reuse & Re-cycle.

Do you have football boots, Astra-turf runners or any football/training gear that’s not being used? Don't throw it out!

Boyle Celtic are in the process of setting up a scheme where such goods (good condition only please!) can be distributed through the club. With the current economic climate we feel it is very important to ensure we all get the most out of every resource available and that ‘teamwork’ goes a little bit further than the pitch.

Mixed Start for Celtic's

The newly re-formed Boyle Celtic Reserves made a fantastic start to the season with a 4-1 home win against Glenview Stars of Sligo. Goals from Chris Richardson, Dermot Beggan, Luka Roddy & Shane Battles securing a convincing victory. Team: Chris Casey, Jake McCrann, Martin Mullen, Thomas Conroy, Colm Rushe, Raymie Maughan, Shane Battles, Gary Goldrick, Chris Richardson, Dermot Beggan, Luka Roddy. Next week away to Strand Celtic Reserves.

Not so good a start from the first team who went down 6-1 to leading contenders Carbury. The scoreline doesn't reflect the game however. Boyle made it 2-1 just after the break but a scandalous decision from the referee awarded Carbury a penalty minutes later to kill the contest. It remained 3-1 until the last 10 minutes when Boyle's resolve began to weaken. Next week, home to Cliffoney. Team: Kyle Suffin, Colm Brennan, Noel McKenna, John Connolly, Alan Duffy, Conor McPadden, Owen O Donohoe, Mick McHale, Mick Corrigan, Aaron Calpin, Colm Morris. Subs: Johnny Dwyer, Thomas Tymon, Tomas Lavin, Eddie Conroy.
