Boyle
Celtic’s season came to a conclusion on Sunday in
the searing heat of the Ray MacSharry complex in Sligo
when they took on newly crowned league champions City Utd in the Glasshouse
Champions Cup Final.
Try as they might, and they played some fantastic
football, they just couldn’t make the breakthrough and late in the second half
were undone by two goals as City ran out 2-0 winners.
The Boyle panel might be thinking they are glad to see the back of the season
being league runners-up and losing two cup finals but that shouldn’t detract
from what has been a truly great season and augurs well for the coming seasons.

O’Donohoe is standing aside from the managerial role after a monumental effort
and anyone with any designs on taking over should contact the committee – but
well done, Owen - your efforts are much appreciated.
