Boyle Celtic Legends Calendar Launch

Tomorrow night sees the official launch of this year's no. 1 Christmas stocking filler - the 2011 calendar of the Boyle Celtic Legends. The launch takes place in Daly's from 9.30pm onwards - if you can't make it, log onto http://www.legendscalendar.com/ to order your copy! All proceeds raised are going to the Brothers of Charity.

Classic Weekend

It was a very sucessful weekend for Boyle Celtic with 3 home wins from 3 on Saturday and our first attempt at a golf classic, a roaring success. The club would like to thank everyone who played in the golf classic and all our sponsors. The weather did it's best to ruin the day but everyone got through it and enjoyed their round. We also thank Boyle Golf Club and it's officials for accomodating us. A very special thank you to Gerry & Phil Emmett for the exceptional food provided. "Service with a smile", hardly covers Gerry's hospitality. There were probably 100 witty comments all day from Gerry but as all of them are libelous, I won't repeat them.



I took a break at 2pm to oversee our under 12 cubs overwhelm Kilglass Enniscrone. The magnificent 7 goals were provided by Adam Hayden(3), Reece Conroy(2), Emmett O Driscoll(1) and captain James Hunt(1). Lorcan Egan who also left the golf course to go straight into managerial duty, steered his under 18s to a 6-3 victory over Ballygawley. Later Saturday night, the seniors beat local rivals Aughanagh 3 nil with goals from Lee McKillen, Michael McHale and Brian McCrann.

Boyle Celtic Under 10s

Training for Under 10s resumes this Saturday morning at 10am to 11am. Any child born in 2000 or 2001 will be eligible for this team. Registration fee is €25 and training is on every Saturday. Contact Geoff Henry 086 3862255 for more details.

... Golf Classic Fundraiser ...

Boyle Celtic will host a golf classic at Boyle Golf Club on Saturday 11th September. Format will be a 3 ball rumble. A time-sheet will be in operation. To book, contact Rory O Donohoe (086 8068303) or Eddie Conroy (086 2574257). Entry fee is €75 per team which includes the competition, dinner & dessert. A plethora of prizes will be presented afterwards in the Golf Club. Even if golf is not your thing, feel free to join us on Saturday evening in the golf club.

Saturday Night Football !!!

This Saturday night 21st August will see the very first competitive game under lights. Boyle Celtic host Cliffoney of Sligo in their second Super League match. Kick off will be 7.30pm.
As usual entry to the game is FREE so I would encourage everyone in Boyle to pop down to the soccer pitch and support the lads. Hot food and refreshments will be available pitchside.
