Banging in the goals....
Our two senior teams provided great entertainment over the weekend, their two matches seeing a total of 19 goals!!!
The Reserves were in action on Friday night and took on Ballygawley Celtic in Boyle, the match having been switched from Ballygawley. A thrilling 3-3 draw ensued with David Conroy, Conor McPadden and Dermot Beggan all notching for Boyle.
If you thought that was great, the following night saw Gerry Emmett's side tackling Kilglass/Enniscrone Utd in Celtic Park and more than twice as many goals were scored as the home side clicked into gear and ran out 11-2 winners. Lee McKillen grabbed a hat-trick whilst Dessie Carlos and Tomas Lavin each scored a brace as Boyle went back to the top of the SuperLeague table, albeit on goal difference.

Aughanagh 2 Boyle Celtic 2
Boyle Celtic travelled to Ballinafad on Sunday last and came away with an exciting 2-2 draw against local
rivals Aughanagh Celtic.
Celtic started the better and scored through James Carty after 10 minutes.
Aughanagh replied from a Paul McTiernan free kick and then went ahead through a fine strike from Brian Cregg on the half hour mark.
The excitment wasn't finished as Lee McKillen scored with a spectacular shot before McTiernan missed a penalty, all before the break.
Level at half-time, Boyle dominated the second period but couldn't find the break through, and the game finished level at 2-2

IMPORTANT - Protecting the goalmouth
We are concerned with the state of the goalmouth in the goal at the Clubhouse end of the pitch and would ask all managers and players to help us out, as follows:-
Under no circumstances should this goal be used in any training session.
Do not warm-up in the goalmouth before a match and during half-time.
Encourage your opponents to follow suit but if they need to use a goalmouth, offer them the use of the goal at the far end but only if conditions allow.
At the end of the match, put the two cones back in place with the rope tied to the goal-posts to fence-off the six yard box in front of the goal.
If you see anyone using this goal, please ask them to stop immediately.
If we can protect this goal, we will be more likely to be able to fulfill our home fixtures thus avoiding the need to reverse the fixture and travel to our opponents' pitch - so this is of great benefit to us all.
Many thanks for your co-operation with this.

U11s Boyle Celtic Blues match is OFF
We were previously advised that the Boyle Celtic Blues in the U11 league were due to play Gurteen Celtic on Saturday morning (10th) - however, as the two teams have previously met this season, the fixture has been cancelled.
Training for the Blues will take place instead, starting at 10am.

Sligo/Leitrim Boys U11 League Table
We are fortunate to have two teams entered in the Sligo/Leitrim Boys U11 League and whilst, at this age-group in particular, performance and winning isn't everything, it is still very heartening to see they are both performing very well being 1st and 3rd in the 17 team league at this stage of the season. Well done, lads and your management teams - keep enjoying it....
