Title edging closer

Boyle Celtic’s Senior team are just two games from Sligo/Leitrim SuperLeague title glory after a hard-fought 4-2 win away to Yeats Utd, having been behind twice! A hat-trick from Shane Battles and an Aaron Calpin goal secured the much-needed win.

Four points are all (!) that is required from those two matches, both to be played in Celtic Park, for Boyle to win the title for a third time.

Up first are Manor Rangers, kicking off at 7pm on Wednesday 27th April

This is followed by the visit of Calry Bohs on Friday 29th April with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Support would be greatly appreciated, we send our best wishes to all involved.

Senior Team closing in...

Boyle Celtic’s Senior team returned to the top of the table after picking up two victories during the last week.

Glenview Stars were, unfortunately, unable to field so Boyle were awarded a 3-0 victory and the valuable 3 points. They followed this up with an actual 3-0 victory away to Calry Bohs, two goals from Calpin with McDermottroe notching the other.

The finishing line is in sight but there is still alot to do – 7 points are required from their last 3 games - if they secure them, they are Champions once again. Up first is a difficult trip to Yeats Utd with a 6.45pm kick-off on Wednesday 20th April, this is followed by a home match on Sunday 24th April, kick-off 11am against Calry Bohs.

Support would be greatly appreciated, we send our best wishes to all involved.

All to play for...

Boyle Celtic’s Senior team slipped to 2nd in the table after their match away to Manor Rangers was postponed due to an unplayable pitch. The target remains the same - win their remaining 5 games and they are Champions once again.

It’s a simple task in words, actually doing it is much more difficult and their next three matches are all away so any support for Darren and his lads would be greatly appreciated.

First up is a trip to Glenview Stars on Wednesday 13th with a 6.45pm kick-off, Sunday 17th sees them travelling to Calry Bohs with an 11am kick-off and the road-trip concludes on Wednesday 20th with a 6.45pm kick-off against Yeats Utd. They will be back in Celtic Park on Sunday 24th with an 11am kick-off against Calry Bohs.

We send our best wishes to all involved.

Seniors stay top of the league

Boyle Celtic’s Senior team remain top-of-the table after victory in the local derby, beating Aughanagh Celtic 5-3 in Celtic Park last Saturday night.

Boyle are 3 points clear of their nearest rivals, once again City Utd, and the task is simple…win their remaining 5 games and they are Champions once again. It’s a simple task in words, actually doing it is much more difficult and their next three matches are all away so any support for Darren and his lads would be greatly appreciated.

First up is a trip to Manorhamilton to take on Manor Rangers on Sunday 10th, kicking off at 11am. This is followed by a trip to Glenview Stars on Wednesday 13th with a 6.45pm kick-off and the difficult run of away fixtures finishes with a trip to Calry Bohs with an 11am kick-off on Sunday 17th.

We send our best wishes to all involved.

Thank You Bank of Ireland

Boyle Celtic FC would like to thank Bank of Ireland’s Enterprise Town Expo team and Johnny Giles for the chance to honour our 1966 team, a most suitable way to mark the 50th anniversary of the club’s re-appearance on the local soccer scene. It was wonderful to reminisce with that team and to remember those who are sadly no longer with us.
